About the Event
Did you know that you have a treasure inside you? In the Church, we call that treasure the Light of Christ. We believe that by the Holy Spirit, Christ dwells in each of us, and together, we form the Body of Christ in the world today. We believe those things, but we do not always experience them fully. This is often because the Light within is blocked by things like worry, anxiety, anger, and fear. Being too attached to things and to what Jesus calls “the cares of the world” can also dim that light within us.
Ash Wednesday and the 40-day Season of Lent give us an opportunity to let go of anything that keeps the light of Christ from shining through us. We also take on practices that lead us to a more Christ-like life. As we prepare for Lent, consider what needs to die within you so…
